Friday 5th Mar
I spend the morning doing some severe procrastination, meaning I start to transfer some VHS tapes to my PC, a project which has been on my todo list for the last four years. Who said procrastination doesn’t have its uses?
While drinking coffee I read about remodelling bathrooms in one of our Real Homes porn mags and realise we’ll have nowhere to store toilet rolls once our bathroom is redone. Since we’re about to get a shower unit installed now seems a good time to design the bathroom before it gets designed for us by John.
By the afternoon John wants to meet up to talk about scheduling. In the pub. I agree this is definitely the best place to do it, so we meet at the newly refurbished Magdalen Arms on Iffley Road. John talks a lot, making it hard to write down a coherent schedule. I want to make a scheudle not because I’m some kind of task master, but because I just can’t fit it all in my head at once, and we have some deadlines to meet. By the end of the meeting I have some sketchy notes about needing floor depths and a window. No schedule though.
Mrs badger arrives at the pub and she and I stay for dinner, which for me is Ox Cheeks and dumplings made by a Hungarian chef called Atilla. Atilla the Hungarian is an awesome name for a chef.

A BBC documentary from 1995 called Seven Wonders featuring Danny Hillis talking about stuff. Been looking for that for ages.
